academe can be used by university students and teachers for creating and working with flashcards as well as for sharing them with their fellow students. academe has been designed in cooperation with universities and students. It is an optimized form of learning and retaining new information. By sharing with others, students can be saved from having to create their own sets of flashcards. academe enriches learning, teaching and campus life not only for students but also for individual faculties and the wider community. It enables teacher to engage more students in exciting new ways, reaching them or their terms and via their devices, and keeping students both informed and involved. The content is accessible independently of the student's location due to the offline studying mode. Constant improvement of the innovative technology helps to ensure a better education experience. We are looking forward to keeping abreast of the changing styles of learning.

academe registration

1. Log in on the web portal (AAI login). Contact the Home Organization helpdesk if you have login problems, lost your password or if you want to change it.

2. Download the academe app. Start the app on your mobile device. Fill in the form under the device registration STEP 2 or take a QR-photo with your mobile device, and all the required information will be set automatically. The QR-photo is depicted on the academe web portal under device registration.

3. Set a password for your device on the web portal under device registration.

4. Confirm the password you have just set on your mobile device under device registration STEP 4.

test mode

academe test is specialised for multiple choice questions. It allows up to five correct answers. Learners will appreciate the fact that the solution is displayed immediately. Students have the possibility to work through their answered cards with an expert because their choices remain until they reset them. A score helps to monitor the progress in learning.

Courses can be marked as favorites. Afterwards, these courses are displayed in an own category and are therefore easier accessible.

The push functionality allows lecturers to send their stundents a set of cards which they have to solve within a certain timeperiod.

Students can boost their peers and invite them to solve quizzes in a playfully manner.

notes & bookmarks

Personal notes help in learning and remembering new content due to strong associations. The working memory depends on what the information in question means to an individual and how it can be linked to already memorized information.

voting

The two voting opportunities depict the quality and the level of difficulty of a card.

settings

Individual preferences, such as the activation of the auto-shuffle mode, the language choice or the visual appearance of the application are adjustable. For offline learning, card packages can be easily downloaded via Wi-Fi. All these functions make academe a personal learning companion that is independent of one's location.
